About Family Day Care
Family Day Care is building into the best childcare option around - one which is flexible, progressive, consistent, family-focused and quality led. Family Day Care offers parents a choice in childcare.
Family Day Care provides quality care for children from birth to 12 years, by an approved Family Day Carer. Carers are experienced, skilled individuals who provide care within their own homes for small groups of children.
Family Day Care combines the benefits of other childcare options with the warmth and intimacy of growing up in a home environment.
At East Brisbane Family Day Care Scheme, our team of Coordinators are experts in home-based childcare and develop supportive relationships with Parents and Carers to foster the highest quality care environment for children.
Our aim is to work with Educators/Care Providers to support the maintenance of high quality care and education within each service. We also enjoy interacting with the children and families within those services.
To achieve our goals we offer:
- Local venues for meetings and training sessions
- Coordinator visits every 3-4 weeks
- Parent interviews conducted in Coordination Unit office
- Regular play sessions at EBCC premises with option of indoor, covered veranda and grassed play areas
- Extensive resource borrowing library
- Access to EBCC community bus to transport non-driving educators with FDC children
- Fortnightly processing of attendance records (timesheets) with the option of emailing or faxing before mailing or delivering to the office (out of office hours mailbox facility)
- Access to helpful training including business coaching
